Short term mission
Small teams of lawyers visit our CLEAR offices and assist in whatever way they can, interviewing clients, training student lawyers, installing filing systems and generally encouraging staff and sharing the load. Most importantly, they widen support and spread the news of what is happening.
Work Parties
To grow social enterprise projects requires work teams with a desire to forward the project and get stuck in. No particular skills are required. Work teams are all about developing self-sustainability in the country they visit.
Expertise
Different skills are needed from time to time and we are building a database of potential volunteers who can offer legal research and case preparation time and skills, book-keeping/accountancy skills for the CLEAR offices and business skills to help with the social enterprise projects. Some work can be done from a law library in the UK but we welcome volunteers visiting our projects to understand the difficulties on the ground and to meet those with whom they will be collaborating.
You can give
Most of the day to day running of our projects are supported by UK lawyers with small trusts providing some support for the social enterprise initiatives.
